Yep!! We're back. If you look at the last blog it says March...
but that's a lie. I wrote others over the summer but the website host(or something like that ) messed up something and we lost all our blogs and fan mails from March to Nov. I like my use of the word 'something', it just shows my superb knowledge of all things technical.
Now, what have we done since Nov? Well, we went home for almost 2 months and when we were at home we played a really cool concert in our home town with our mother, a local flautist Brian Mc Govern and Donncha O Dulaing host of RTE 1 programme Failte Isteach. It was a brilliant night and we were extremely lucky as the concert happened on the only small thaw that we experienced before Christmas. The terrible ice and snow that had paralysed the country for weeks caused the cancellation of almost everything over the Christmas period. It was so depressing but we really 'lucked out' and the concert went ahead.
We had also planned to record some new music when we were at home but that idea froze like the landscape around us. Christmas was nice and quiet but we had to come back to the U.S for New Years Eve which we spent in Haddonfield. It was a great night and we really enjoyed ourselves and it helped us get over our homesickness.
The Cruise......what can I say, we had a blast even though I (G) was really sick for most of it. I always seem to get stricken with lung issues when I'm on a cruise. I was grand for the first 3 days and then I went down but thanks be to God I managed to hold on to my voice as I usually lose it completely in these situations. I was really lucky as we were asked by Ronan Tynan to sing some songs with him at one of his theater shows but all's well that ends well as they say and the concert went down a treat.
We're coming up to St Patricks month now and we're looking forward to that and MT is busily practicing 'It's A Great Day For The Irish' so do let us know if you're at a show and want to hear it!!
I'll leave you with a photo of myself on the beach in Rossnowlagh,Co.Donegal.......and a small word now St Patricks is coming up. Please, please, please don't say St Patty's......Patty is traditionally a womans name. St Patrick will rise from his grave and beat you round the head with his staff if you call him Patricia!!!!....and I'll give him a hand.
